Tandem kinderfiets
Our kids tandem is an amzing bike for children in the age group 4 – 9. Kids have a fun and active cycling experience riding this bike with a parent.
It’s the perfect solution for children that love to bike but are just a bit too young to join Amsterdam’s cycling traffic on their own or for whom the distance on our countryside bike tour maybe too far.
This bike requiers a somewhat advanced level of cycling. If you are a complite novice to cycling, this bike maybe too challenging for you. The bike has handbreaks and 7 speeds which makes it easy to cross Amsterdam’s bridges. Apart from the 1000+ bridges, Amsterdam is as flate as a pancake and don’t worry, we won’t take all bridges on our tour ???? The child passenger will sit in front of the bike with a smile on it’s face guaranteed. The child can add power to the peddling but can also hold it’s feet still for a while. This won’t effect the peddling of the adult passenger. The adult passenger in the back will be doing the steering and navigating.

Our kids tandem is manufactured by an Amsterdam based company called Onderwater Tandems. Founder and owner Ronald Onderwater designed this bike himselves years ago and it started to become a true cracker amoung Amsterdam’ parents.
When making a reservation for one of our bike tours, the kids tandem can be reserved on the booking form. The usage of our bikes is included in the tour price.
